In todays unpersonal and confusing food world I like to live by the principle: “Only eat what Grandma would recognize as food”
Traditionally produced food is not anonymous and is not produced in masses either. Real food has a face, a story, and a heritage. What is categorized as “gourmet” and only known by connoisseurs in today´s time, belonged on every menu in Grandma’s times. Even if most of these meals were only known regionally.
The “culinary tour Germany” is our personal try to save these widely unknown products and meals from being forgotten. In order to show them to our guests, we have gathered the story and history of every meal on our menu on the blog.
